Pumpkin Details
I love scary patterns, so I was looking forward to carving this, but when it was done, I found it just a little too creepy. I finished after midnight, and when I lit it up, those eyes staring at me alone in the dark were surprisingly unsettling.
Incidentally, I found I really dated myself by carving Hannibal Lecter. Most of the school-age kids who came by had no idea who he was (and some thought I'd just done a mediocre job of carving Jason from the Halloween movies). Maybe next year I'll do Beetlejuice and see if anyone knows who he is.
